The Business

A live hospitality platform for Vallarta Beer Garden in Nuevo Nayarit. It brings the venue's changing events, sports, menu, hours, reservations, private-event inquiries and Ask VBG host into one customer experience, with admin tools for the team that runs it.

The Opportunity

The opportunity was larger than replacing an old website. Hospitality businesses generate an enormous amount of useful customer information: What's happening tonight? Are you showing the game? What time does the band start? Can I reserve a table? What's on the menu? Can you host my event? That information often lives across websites, social media, staff knowledge, messages, phone calls and constantly changing posts. The opportunity was to create a digital system where VBG could manage that information once and make it useful everywhere — not simply a prettier website, but a customer-facing platform that could stay aligned with the actual venue.

The Insight

A hospitality website is only useful if it knows what's happening tonight. A beautiful website with stale information creates very little value. For a venue like VBG, the digital experience needs to understand what is happening today, what events are upcoming, which sports are being shown, what's available to eat and drink, when the venue is open, and what can be reserved. That led to the central product principle: OPERATIONS SHOULD DRIVE THE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE. The public website, AI Host and administrative tools should use the same underlying business information wherever practical. Update the business. Update the experience.

What We Built

One platform built around how the venue operates. KNOW WHAT'S HAPPENING The platform answers the most important hospitality question: What's happening? Today at VBG, What's On, live music, sports, and event detail pages bring current and upcoming programming to the foreground. Events are structured content with SEO metadata and past-event preservation — not manually designed promotional pages. Sports programming is organized around the venue's actual priorities (NFL, UFC, NHL, Liga MX, Mexico national team, Premier League, Champions League, Formula 1 and more) with administrative control over featured and hidden events. External sports provider configuration is deferred; the built architecture is ready for it. KNOW WHAT'S AVAILABLE Customers can find practical information without searching social posts or calling the venue — food and drink, a native mobile-friendly menu, beer information, hours, venue information, and reservation details. Private Events is designed as a lead-generation experience, not just an informational page, supporting higher-value customer journeys from group visits to private events to future venue experiences like The Loft. ASK VBG A context-aware AI Host designed around actual venue information. Ask VBG helps customers answer practical questions using the business's own published content — menu, events, sports, hours, venue information, FAQs, reservations, and The Loft status. The AI should know the business, not invent the business. Ask VBG was specifically tested to avoid fabricating information when the underlying data did not support an answer. RUN THE EXPERIENCE An administrative system allows VBG to manage customer-facing information without requiring a developer for routine changes — menu, events, sports, hours, FAQs, reviews, images, customer inquiries, AI escalations, and The Loft content. The Loft is treated as a distinct experience, not another VBG section. During this build phase it was maintained as Coming Soon. The architecture allows VBG to introduce and eventually activate it without misleading customers about current availability. The experience was designed as a bilingual hospitality platform — English and Spanish — rather than treating translation as an afterthought. The people operating the venue can operate the digital experience too.

AI / Automation

The AI knows when it doesn't know. During validation, Ask VBG was deliberately tested with questions where the correct answer was NOT present in production business data. SPORTS — Asked about a Seahawks game not in the published schedule. It did not invent that VBG was showing the game. THE LOFT — Tested against The Loft's published status. It respected the rule that The Loft was coming soon and did not invent an opening date. MENU — Tested with a sample-only menu item not part of production content. It did not present the sample item as a real VBG offering. Where appropriate, unsupported questions can be escalated rather than answered with fabricated information. During development, sample and placeholder content was separated from real production content so that placeholder menu items, sample events, sample reviews, and sample FAQs could not accidentally appear publicly or become AI knowledge. An AI system is only as trustworthy as the information it is allowed to treat as true. The value of hospitality AI isn't simply that it answers questions. It has to be trustworthy enough to represent the business.

Built. Tested. Verified.

During platform validation, Neff Labs verified the systems that make the experience work as one connected platform. • Ask VBG grounding behavior — refusal to invent unpublished information • Refusal to invent unpublished sports programming • The Loft 'Coming Soon / no date' enforcement • Sample-only menu exclusion from AI knowledge • Sample content excluded from public experiences • Admin authentication and admin-only content permissions • Event detail rendering with SEO metadata and structured data • Past-event preservation and related-event behavior One source of truth. More useful everywhere. Instead of treating the website, events, sports, menu, customer questions and administrative work as disconnected digital tasks, the platform brings them into a connected operating model. The same business information supports customer discovery, event promotion, sports discovery, menu exploration, AI answers, reservations, private-event inquiries, and staff workflows. The result is a digital presence designed to stay useful as the venue changes.

Why It Matters

THE TECHNOLOGY ISN'T REALLY ABOUT BEER. A restaurant, bar, brewery, entertainment venue, hotel, club or other hospitality business has the same fundamental challenge: the customer experience changes constantly because the business changes constantly. Technology becomes valuable when it reflects those operations instead of sitting beside them. VBG demonstrates a broader Neff Labs capability: we can understand how a physical business actually operates and build a digital system around it. That principle extends far beyond hospitality.
